Just got home with the dogs from one of my favorite hikes in San Diego. The trail is called Hollenbeck Canyon Trail and it’s located about 25 minutes east of downtown San Diego. The hillsides were green, and the foxtails hadn’t bloomed yet, so the we let the dogs run wild in the grass a bit. The creek was overflowing from all of the rain that we have had over the past few weeks, so we did get wet at the creek crossings. The trail hosts hiking, bicycling, and horses but today we just had dogs and people. We walked the out-n-back, which took a little more than an hour to complete.
